The UPA government finally declared Telangana State with Hyderabad as the joint capital of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana which i s officially declared by Central Home Minister DHIGVIJAY SINGH.
The issue is going on from many years but finally came up for discussion during the UPA Coordination Committee meeting on Tuesday in the national capital. It is believed that Hyderabad as a Union Territory will be administered by a Lieutenant Governor. The Governor of the Telangana state will be the ex-officio lieutenant Governor of Hyderabad, sources said. Notably, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has expressed his strong opposition to the bifurcation of the state.
